Led by the most creative and analytical minds from the political, nonprofit, and brand worlds, Blue State is an independent agency and has 150+ employees in the US and London.\nA day in the life\nLead the strategy, information architecture and user experience design for websites, from kickoff to user research and through the development of sitemap, wireframes and/or prototypes.\nLead collaborative workshops and co-design activities to iterate with clients and users, quickly arriving at design solutions\nContribute to discovery phases through competitive analysis, content and site audits, and qualitative and quantitative user research.\nStructure and execute user-centered research, including user interviews, usability testing, survey creation and analyses, card sorting, and tree testing.\nSynthesize and present research findings through user personas, user journeys, experience maps, and feature requirements documentation\nCreate innovative and intuitive design frameworks articulated through wireframes, sitemaps, and clickable prototypes.\nWork closely with visual designers, strategists, product managers, and developers throughout the design process, from concept to launch.\nSome things we're looking for\nWe’re looking for strategic thinkers who are excited by opportunities to solve complex problems for clients and who can present solutions clearly and articulately. \nQualifications:\n3+ years prior work experience in a related role\nA portfolio exhibiting your UX strategy and design experience and showcases wireframes and sitemaps\nExperience leading usability testing\nExperience with and genuine love of the intricacies of web as platform for delivering unique and intuitive experiences\nMethodical, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail\nSelf-starting and flexible; with an ability to work independently\nThe ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment\nComfort with ambiguity and a commitment to constant iteration and improvement\nExceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills\nExperience with content strategy a big plus\nThe salary range for this position is $85-$110 per hour; compensation will be commensurate with experience.\nAt Blue State, diversity is a necessity, not a nice-to-have.
