As a Freight Forwarding Agent you will handle customer requirements from beginning to end of the shipment handling process and will work in close cooperation and coordination with customers. The Air import/export agent will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air.\nKey responsibilities and tasks: Imports\nManage daily contact with customers and suppliers, processing inquiries, follow-up, and settlement. \nGather shipment details efficiently, including weight, dimensions, origin, destination, and cargo type. \nProvide prompt responses to client requests and maintain regular customer follow-ups. \nCreate trust with the customers, business connections, and colleagues and stay informed on competitors and market news. \nEnsure proper preparation and on-time delivery. \nDemonstrate a focus on solutions and attention to detail. \nTrack and monitor shipments, providing updates to customers on the status of their shipments \nCheck status with airlines GHA \nArrange payment of ISC \nCoordinate with brokers to ensure timely filing of US customs clearance \nBook shipments with truckers and make sure they are picked up in a timely matter to avoid storage cost. \nComplete all costing and rating for billing purposes \nProvide lane rates and spot quotes \nKey responsibilities and tasks: Exports\nCoordinate and process international air export shipments from booking to delivery. \nPrepare and review shipping documentation (e.g., AWBs, invoices, packing lists, export declarations). \nArrange cargo pickup, warehouse coordination, and airline bookings. \nCommunicate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and customs brokers. \nEnsure compliance with all applicable export regulations (e.g., TSA, IATA, AES filing). \nTrack and monitor shipments, proactively address delays or issues. \nMaintain accurate records and update shipment status in internal systems. \nAssist in negotiating rates with airlines and carriers. \nProvide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships. \nCollaborate with internal departments such as sales, customs, and billing. \nQualifications and competencies\n3+ years freight forwarding experience in import. \nUnderstanding of International/domestic shipping and transportation \nKnowledge of Dangerous goods regulations. \nAbility to maintain a high level of communication and transparency on customer activities. \nAbility to take team members’ suggestions to improve departmental procedures. \nGrowth mindset and strong problem-solving skills. \nStrong customer focus with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and meet their needs. \nCapable of adjusting your communication style to respectfully communicate with different types of personalities - towards customers, business connections, and colleagues. \nStrong understanding of incoterms \nProfessionalism when communicating verbally and in writing with customers, colleagues, and vendors alike. \nAn exciting opportunity\nWe offer you an exciting opportunity to work in a team of motivated and qualified specialists, in a company with a high focus on employees and a unique culture.\nWhat we offer\n100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees.
