This is a rare opportunity to join at a stage where you can influence and shape the outcome.\nAs our new Data Architect, you will help shape how data flows across Blue Water. You will establish the principles, models and standards that enable data to be understood, trusted and used consistently across a global organisation. Your work will influence major business initiatives and help create the foundation for technologies and capabilities we have yet to introduce.\nThis is where you make a difference\nYou will join our Data Management team within Operational Excellence and work closely with Enterprise Architecture, IT, application teams and business stakeholders across the organisation.\nOne of your first priorities will be to create transparency across our data landscape. You will map key data domains, data flows, integrations and dependencies, helping us understand where we are today and what needs to evolve to support tomorrow’s business.\nFrom there, you will play a central role in defining the target-state data architecture and building the roadmap to get there. This includes developing conceptual and logical data models, establishing architectural principles and guiding decisions around critical business data and system ownership.\nYou will also help shape the architecture behind our future Data Platform, ensuring we have the right foundations for metadata, lineage, data quality, security and governance. Along the way, you will review solution designs, challenge assumptions when needed and act as a trusted sparring partner for architects, project teams and business stakeholders. We value being close to key stakeholders and work in a hybrid setup, with around two to three days per week on site in Esbjerg.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDefining and maintaining Blue Water’s enterprise data architecture, standards and modelling principles\nSupporting strategic transformation initiatives, including BlueCore, by ensuring alignment with agreed architectural principles\nTranslating business requirements and data definitions into scalable and implementable data models\nGuiding internal teams and external partners on data-related architecture decisions\nWhat you bring\nYou have experience working with data architecture, data modelling or solution design in complex enterprise environments. You understand that good architecture is not about drawing perfect diagrams. It is about creating practical solutions that balance business needs, technology realities and long-term sustainability. Essential skills:\nExperience with data architecture, data modelling or solution design across multiple systems or business domains\nExperience with cloud data platforms and integration architecture\nSAP S/4HANA experience, particularly around Business Partner data\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to different audiences\nProfessional proficiency in English\nIt is an advantage if you also have experience with:\nData engineering, integration or enterprise architecture\nMaster data management, metadata, lineage and data quality disciplines\nEvent-driven, API-based and batch integration patterns\nCargoWise, logistics or transport-related operations\nAzure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake or similar technologies\nAdvanced analytics, AI or relevant certifications such as TOGAF or DAMA\nWhy Blue Water\nYou will become part of a well-established Data Management team with strong professional capabilities across governance, master data, migration and quality.\nWhat characterises the team is not only its expertise, but also its willingness to help each other succeed.
