The primary responsibility of this role is to obtain and analyze data through advanced computerized models and algorithms to support data-driven decision-making for the Department of Veterans Affairs.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nExtract and analyze data using advanced algorithms and models to identify trends and insights.\nDevelop visualizations such as charts and graphs to effectively communicate complex data patterns.\nPresent findings and recommendations to management on how data insights can influence operations and strategy.\nSupport development and optimization of business models by identifying data-informed improvements.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure analysis aligns with project objectives.\nAssist in preparing data-driven reports and presentations tailored to various technical and non-technical audiences.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, Business, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of professional experience as a data analyst or in a related analytical role.\nProficiency in developing data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Pyramid Analytics.\nSolid understanding of data modeling and trend analysis.\nDemonstrated experience in interpreting and communicating data findings to a diverse audience.\nFamiliarity with querying and analyzing large datasets using SQL or other data tools.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working with VA information systems and databases.\nKnowledge of healthcare data and terminology, particularly in the context of the VA.\nExposure to statistical programming languages such as Python or R.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nPrevious experience supporting government or federal health IT projects.\nEligibility:\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future\nMust be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role\nCompensation:\nSalary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. \nSalary range: $70,000-$100,000\nBenefits:\nBlue Water Thinking offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time off, federal holidays, and matching 401K plan.\nReasonable Accommodation for Applicants\nBlue Water Thinking is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the application and hiring process.
