The primary responsibility of this role is to obtain and analyze data through advanced computerized models and algorithms to inform strategic decision-making and optimize business outcomes.\nResponsibilities:\nExtrapolate data patterns using advanced algorithms to identify actionable insights.\nDevelop graphs, charts, and visualizations to communicate complex mathematical findings.\nPresent analytical outcomes to managers and stakeholders to guide business model adjustments and future planning.\nApply in-depth knowledge of VHA systems and files, including CDW, VistA, VSSC, RAMP, PTF (MedSAS), MCA, PCMM, NPCD, and VETSNET.\nCollect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple VA sources.\nTranslate raw data into meaningful reports that support healthcare transformation goals.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with program objectives.\nSupport predictive modeling and trend analysis to improve veteran healthcare delivery.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field.\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or federal environment.\nProficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS).\nStrong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.\nDemonstrated ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.\nFamiliarity with VHA systems and data repositories, including CDW and VistA.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Data Analytics, Public Health, or related discipline.\nExperience supporting federal healthcare programs, especially within the Department of Veterans Affairs.\nKnowledge of healthcare data standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).\nExperience with machine learning models and predictive analytics in healthcare settings.\nActive Public Trust clearance.\nFamiliarity of Senator Elizabeth Dole Act Sections 105 and 107\nEligibility:\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future\nMust be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role\nCompensation:\nSalary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. \nSalary range: $115,000-$145,000\nBenefits:\nBlue Water Thinking offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time off, federal holidays, and matching 401K plan.\nReasonable Accommodation for Applicants\nBlue Water Thinking is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the application and hiring process.
