This role is critical in defining and governing the best practices, standards, and roadmaps for all WMS Modification Developments, Migrations, and Integrations. The Architect is expected to champion quality deliverables and explore emerging technologies, particularly AI/ML, to deliver measurable ROI to WMS customers.\n\nOur Current Technical Environment\n\nSoftware: Core Java, PLSQL and Extjs\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n WMS Architecture, Standards & Roadmap\nServe as the trusted advisor from DSS to various stakeholders, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.\nDefine and govern technical standards, best practices, and roadmaps for all WMS modifications, migrations, and integrations.\nConduct frequent architecture reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and workshops to elevate the DSS team's technical expertise.\nEnsure all WMS development and architecture remain aligned with customer business goals and DSS policies/standards.\n Technical Leadership & Mentorship\nIdentify and groom future technical leaders within the development team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.\nTake ownership of end-to-end project delivery and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers.\nChampion quality without impacting delivery timelines and/or efforts.\n Solution Design & Delivery\nProvide technical inputs and High-Level Estimates (HLEs) to support pre-sales activities, including PRS responses and design workshops.\nAnalyze customer requirements and business objectives to propose effective technical solutions.\nParticipate in solution design and design review processes to ensure alignment with business and technical objectives.\nPrepare and manage software releases, rollouts, and patches, including release planning, scheduling, and creation of release notes.\nEnsure all deliverables, including code and documentation, undergo peer reviews and follow-up on feedback.\n Innovation & Emerging Technology\nEvaluate emerging technologies (especially AI/ML) and assess their applicability to enhance the delivery experience.\nCollaborate with Data Science teams to integrate AI/ML models into warehouse operations (e.g., demand forecasting, robotic process automation).\nChampion Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable ROI to WMS customers.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\nBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant disciplines (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.)\nTotal Experience – 12 yrs to 15 yrs\nProfessional Certificate like TOGAF adds value to the role.\nPrior experience with ERP/Blue Yonder / JDA / RedPrairie WMS or other WMS platforms is an added advantage.\nExperience with Java, Ext JS, Java Script, PL SQL, Microservices.\nExperience in Python Scripting\nExperience in test management and test execution.\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies.\nUse of AI Tools – Cursor AI, Replit AI, GitHub, Copilot\nStrong experience with source code control systems such as GitHub and Jenkins.\nProficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including command-line usage.\nWorking knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking.\nExperience in tracking work using KANBAN dashboards etc\nExperience in handling development teams for Software package delivery, Code Reviews, Mentoring\nExperience in Code refactoring\nIn-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools (e.g., SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio).\n\nOur Values\n\nIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
