You will own the architecture of Snowflake-based analytics and AI solutions for our clients, guide a team of engineers and consultants through delivery, and partner with Sales on scoping and winning new work.\nThis role sits at the intersection of three disciplines: engineering leadership, business analytics, and solution architecture. You will spend part of your time designing and reviewing solutions, part leading and developing people, and part in front of client technical and executive stakeholders.\nWhat You'll Do\nSolution Architecture\nDesign end-to-end data and analytics architectures on Snowflake, from ingestion and transformation to semantic layers, BI, and AI use cases \nLead migrations from legacy platforms (Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server, Hadoop) to Snowflake, including assessment, strategy, and cutover planning \nArchitect and oversee AI and GenAI solutions using Snowflake Cortex (Cortex AI, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search) and related tooling \nSet technical standards for data modeling, dbt development, performance, cost optimization, security, and governance \nAct as the senior technical escalation point for complex client challenges \nTeam Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, and Consultants \nRun code and design reviews to maintain delivery quality and best practices \nPartner with Recruitment on sourcing, screening, and interviewing to grow the team \nBuild career development plans and give regular, direct feedback \nAnalytics & Client Delivery\nTranslate business goals into analytics roadmaps, KPIs, and measurable outcomes \nOversee delivery across concurrent engagements, managing scope, timelines, risks, and quality \nServe as a trusted advisor to client technical leads and executives, presenting findings, recommendations, and solution designs \nEnsure dashboards, data products, and models are adopted and drive business decisions \nPre-Sales & Practice Growth\nSupport Sales and Account teams on pursuits: discovery, solution design, code assessments, estimation, and pricing \nWrite and review Statements of Work and solution proposals \nDevelop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and delivery methodologies \nRepresent BlueCloud in client workshops, partner events, and Snowflake ecosystem activities \nWhat You Bring\nRequired\n12+ years in data engineering, analytics, or BI, including significant client-facing experience (consulting, pre-sales, or post-sales) \n4+ years leading technical teams, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineers \nDeep hands-on Snowflake experience, including architecture, performance tuning, and cost management \nExpert SQL skills and working proficiency in Python \nStrong experience with dbt and modern data stack tools (Fivetran, Matillion, Airflow, or similar) \nExperience with legacy data warehouse platforms (Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server) and migration projects \nHands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or Looker \nProven experience scoping projects, estimating effort, and writing SOWs \nExperience designing and delivering AI or GenAI use cases in an enterprise setting \nExcellent communication skills with both technical and executive audiences, from whiteboard sessions to formal presentations \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience \nPreferred\nSnowflake SnowPro Advanced: Architect or Data Engineer certification \nHands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, or Streamlit in Snowflake \nCloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP \nBackground in data governance, data quality, and semantic layer design \nPrior experience in a data consulting firm or Snowflake partner \nIndustry exposure in financial services, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing \nWhat Success Looks Like\nClients see
