This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-autonomy environments and is excited to help shape the financial foundation of a scaling business.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nOwn and manage the end-to-end accounting function-from client billing setup and invoicing to revenue recognition and monthly close.\nLead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.\nPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to ensure accurate contract set-up and billing.\nEstablish and improve processes for invoicing, collections, revenue tracking, and cost allocations.\nMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, revenue, AR, and deferred revenue.\nManage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.\nDrive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controls.\nSupport internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and tax filings.\nEvaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and tools.\nServe as a strategic advisor on financial operations, reporting, and planning initiatives.\n\nQualifications\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a managerial or senior-level role.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial reporting.\nExperience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses highly preferred.\nProven ability to build and scale accounting operations in a fast-growing company.\nFamiliarity with ERP systems and billing platforms.(e.g., Rillet, QuickBooks, Stripe, Ramp, Aleph, or similar) \nExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.\nCPA preferred but not required.\nPrior experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment is required, alongside comfort with cross-functional collaboration.\nAbout Bluefish:\nBluefish is the enterprise marketing engine for AI.
