You will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Data & Analytics, and other functions to improve business processes, manage our systems roadmap, and ensure employees have reliable, secure and effective technology.\nThis is a hands-on builder role. As our first dedicated Enterprise Systems hire, you will both set the direction and do the work. On any given day, that could mean prioritizing the enterprise systems roadmap, redesigning a NetSuite process with Finance or Operations, managing an implementation partner, provisioning access for a new hire, resolving an employee technology issue, or evaluating a new application.\nThis role requires someone equally comfortable setting the systems roadmap and rolling up their sleeves to execute it. You will be the first dedicated Enterprise Systems leader at Blueland, supported by external partners and business stakeholders. You should enjoy creating structure where it doesn't yet exist, solving day-to-day problems yourself, and building processes that make those problems easier to solve the next time. We are looking for someone excited to build the foundation and develop the function without a large team to execute.\nWe expect the role to evolve as Blueland grows. Initially, you will personally handle many day-to-day systems and IT activities while leveraging managed service providers and other external partners for specialized support. Over time, you will help determine the right internal and external resources required to scale the function.\nResponsibilities\nNetSuite & Business Process Management\nServe as the business systems owner for NetSuite and the primary point of contact for our NetSuite managed service provider. \nPartner closely with Finance and Operations to understand business processes, identify pain points and translate requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions. \nOwn and execute the NetSuite enhancement roadmap, including configuration, workflows, reporting, integrations and process improvements. \nPersonally handle routine NetSuite administration and troubleshooting while determining when more complex technical work should be escalated to our external NetSuite partner. \nManage and prioritize work performed by our NetSuite MSP, including requirements, scope, timeline, cost, testing and quality of delivery. \nOwn NetSuite integrations with key platforms and partners, including ecommerce, EDI, 3PL/fulfillment and other enterprise applications. \nMaintain appropriate governance over roles, permissions, configurations, workflows and system changes. \nPartner with the Data & Analytics team to implement master data governance standards within NetSuite and other enterprise systems. \nLead testing, documentation, training and change management for significant enhancements. \nIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes, strengthen controls and improve data quality across Finance and Operations.\nEnterprise Systems Roadmap & Project Pipeline\nOwn Blueland's enterprise systems project pipeline from business need through implementation and ongoing optimization. \nEstablish and run a consistent intake and prioritization process for systems requests across the organization. \nWork directly with functional leaders to define the problem to solve, business requirements, expected value, resource needs and recommended solution. \nMaintain the enterprise systems roadmap and provide visibility into priorities, status, dependencies, risks, costs and resource constraints. \nLead systems implementations directly, coordinating business owners, external vendors and other resources as needed. \nEnsure projects have clear requirements, ownership, testing, training, documentation and post-launch support. \nDrive adoption after implementation and measure whether solutions are delivering the intended business outcome. \nContinually evaluate opportunities to simplify the technology stack, improve existing platforms and automate manual work.\nDay-to-Day IT Operations\nServe as the primary internal owner and hands-on point of contact for employee IT needs. \nPersonally manage and resolve routine IT requests and tickets, escalating specialized technical issues to our MSP or other external partners as appropriate. \nBuild a scalable IT ticketing and support process, including clear service expectations, documentation, escalation paths and recurring issue analysis. \nOwn employee technology onboarding and offboarding in partnership with People, including laptops, accounts, software access and permissions. \nProvision and remove user access across core enterprise applications. \nMaintain accurate documentation of users, systems, devices, licenses and access. \nCoordinate laptop and device procurement, setup, replacement and lifecycle management. \nTroubleshoot common employee technology and application issues and ensure more complex issues are resolved quickly by the appropriate external partner. \nDevelop repeatable processes and self-service documentation that reduce recurring support needs as Blueland grows. \nIT Vendors & Technology Management\nOwn relationships with Blueland's IT MSP, NetSuite MSP and other enterprise technology vendors. \nServe as the internal point of accountability for vendor performance, ensuring external partners are responsive, cost-effective and delivering against Blueland's priorities. \nManage technology vendors throughout their lifecycle, including evaluation, onboarding, contracting, implementation, ongoing performance, renewal and offboarding. \nMaintain a centralized inventory of technology vendors, systems, business owners, licenses, contracts, costs and renewal dates. \nPartner with Finance to manage technology spend and identify opportunities to consolidate tools, eliminate unused licenses and improve ROI. \nCoordinate with external cybersecurity and infrastructure partners to ensure required security and technology standards are implemented.\nEnsure technology vendors are appropriately integrated into Blueland's onboarding, offboarding, access management and security processes.\nEnterprise Applications & Governance\nServe as the internal owner or governance lead for Blueland's core enterprise applications.Administer core applications directly where appropriate and establish clear business and technical ownership for function-specific platforms. \n\nManage user access, permissions, licensing and basic configuration across enterprise applications. \nEstablish documentation and change-management standards for critical systems. \nEvaluate new systems and functionality based on business need, integration requirements, security, scalability and total cost of ownership. \nIdentify and implement opportunities to leverage automation and AI within enterprise platforms and business processes to increase productivity, improve user experience and reduce manual work.\nQualifications\n7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems, business applications, ERP, IT/business technology or related roles. \nStrong hands-on NetSuite experience, ideally supporting both Finance and Operations in a growing organization. \nStrong understanding of business processes including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, fulfillment and financial close. \nExperience administering enterprise applications and troubleshooting day-to-day systems issues. \nExperience managing NetSuite consultants, MSPs, technology vendors and other external technical resources. \nExperience leading systems implementations and integrations from requirements through go-live and ongoing optimization. \nStrong project management skills and the ability to manage a portfolio of competing systems priorities. \nExperience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve business processes, systems administration or employee productivity, with an interest in staying current as these capabilities evolve. \nWorking knowledge of IT fundamentals including user provisioning, identity and access management, endpoint/device management, SaaS administration and IT support processes. \nStrong business judgment and an ability to distinguish between problems that require technology investment and those better solved through process changes. \nAbility to translate between business and technical audiences. \nExperience in consumer products, retail, e-commerce or another omnichannel environment is strongly preferred. \nFamiliarity with e-commerce, EDI, 3PL/fulfillment and related integrations strongly preferred.\nSalary\nThe salary range for this position is $175,000-195,000 per
