Our distributed solution requires highly motivated and talented engineers to understand the depth of the problem and ensure its quality is maintained to a high standard.\nWe are looking for an individual with great attention to detail, who is genuine, committed and not only passionate about technology, but is keen to own the solution end to end and collaborate with other engineers to improve the QA process.\nYour team: The Belfast team at BlueOptima caters to all current and upcoming product changes in Active MultiSite, which is our distributed version control solution. The team develops and maintains sets of automated test cases across UI and API, focusing on data-centric as well as integration test cases.\nThe team is responsible for making sure that manual efforts, and in turn the release cycles, are reduced by automating tests based on priority, along with integrating the test suites with CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth delivery of features and products in an automated manner.\nResponsibilities and tasks: the role will focus on, but not exclusively, the following:\nEnsuring product quality:\nWork with engineering and architecture to implement the plan developed for automating test cases and ensuring adequate automation coverage\nCreate and maintain of test automation (both UI and API) within CI/CD pipelines\nEnsure the expected behaviour of code prior to product releases\nIncrease overall coverage of automation suite\nCurate reports for the stakeholders \n Key Proficiencies:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline with projects work on automation and testing (recent graduates encouraged to apply)\nExperience writing code in an Object-Oriented language such as Java\n\nExperience with version control systems such as Git, Subversion\nDesired Skills:\nAcademic projects, internships, or practical experience involving test automation (preferably using Selenium and Java)\n\nBasic understanding of testing distributed systems\n\nExposure to Linux administration, command-line usage, and scripting (Shell, Bash, Python)\n\nKnowledge of virtualization/containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)\n\nFamiliarity with test automation frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG\n\n Benefits:\nHybrid -
