Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!\nThe role is part of the Blue National Security business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit.\nWe are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to support our automated testing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing frameworks using Python. This role requires a strong understanding of testing best practices and the ability to lead a team of testers.\nSpecial Mentions:\nTravel up to 15% required\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.\n\nCollaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand project and testing requirements.\n\nImplement testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.\n\nAnalyze test results, identify trends, and report findings to development teams.\n\nContinuously improve test automation processes and frameworks.\n\nEnsure robust test coverage across all application components.\n\nPeriodically supporting testing events on second shift.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n3+ years of related experience in one or a combination of the following:spacecraft/satellite test development, automation and/or execution, software development, hardware ownership (Responsible Engineer), or hardware qualification and/or acceptance testing.\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.\n\nProven experience in test automation using Python.\n\nStrong understanding of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies.\n\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, etc.).\n\nExperience with requirements verification.\n\nExperience using Docker or containerized environments.\n\nExperience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++.\n\nHands-on experience conducting tests in a lab setting.\n\nExperience in a lead role or managing a test team.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing.\n\nKnowledge of performance testing and security testing.\n\nExperience in agile development environments.\n\nHolding a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance if requested.\n\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
