Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.\nAs part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the development and maintenance of the software infrastructure for our Lunar MK1 Vehicle Test Bed (VTB), which is our hardware-in-the-loop test bed, to ensure the correctness and performance of our flight software, avionics and ground support equipment for spaceflight systems.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the design and development of the VTB SW infrastructure\nWork with stakeholders to understand requirements and iteratively design and develop applications and systems to meet their needs.\nSupport VTB integration of the avionics, flight software and ground software.\nDiagnose and fix software problems at multiple levels, including: installation, deployment, configuration, server side and client side issues.\nQualifications:\nB.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline\n8+ years of relevant experience\nDemonstrated skill at deploying production distributed systems to a mix of cloud and physical compute using systems like Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.\n Strong and active development skills in C / C++ and Python\nSolid understanding of IP networking concepts\nExperience with communications protocols and hardware drivers\nExperience using and customizing Continuous Integration / Continuous Development pipelines (CI/CD - e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins)\nExcellent attention to detail and strong task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed.\nDesire to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development, review, deployment, and support phases of the software product lifecycle.\nMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\nDesired (but not required):\nMaster of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines.\nExperience developing software for hardware in the loop testing\nExperience writing software that efficiently handles the production, distribution and storage of large data sets.\nStrong debugging skills at the software/hardware boundary, and familiarity with software verification approaches\nExperience leading development of software simulation testbed for a complex physical system\nExperience developing, verifying, certifying and releasing mission and safety-critical software systems\nExperience with mission operations and ground data systems\nFamiliarity with target hardware platforms (e.g. ARM)\nFamiliarity with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Board Support Packages (BSPs)\nFamiliarity with electrical and electronic engineering concepts\nFamiliarity with aerospace systems and design\nExperience with tools such as Gitlab, Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Ansible\nBase Pay Range for:\nWA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55Other site ranges may differ\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
