Build what matters.\nIn This Role\nYou will evaluate emerging hardware technologies and analyze how software workloads perform across different hardware platforms to help determine their suitability for cloud computing environments. This role focuses on performance analysis, workload measurement, and hardware/software evaluation, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies and understand the tradeoffs that influence performance and efficiency. You will also develop scripts and tools, leverage AI to support data collection and analysis, organize findings, and present performance results to technical stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nEvaluate emerging hardware technologies and assess their suitability for cloud computing workloads.\n\nAnalyze and measure the performance of key workloads across new and evolving hardware platforms.\n\nConduct hardware and software performance analysis to identify performance characteristics, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.\n\nDevelop and maintain scripts and tools to automate workload testing, data collection, and performance analysis.\n\nLeverage AI-assisted tools and techniques to improve the collection, organization, and analysis of technical data.\n\nCompare workload performance across hardware configurations and evaluate hardware/software tradeoffs.\n\nOrganize performance results, document findings, and present analysis to technical stakeholders.\n\nSupport technical evaluations by translating workload measurements into actionable insights.\n\nComplete performance evaluation projects and communicate results to support technology assessment and decision-making.\n\nQualifications\n2-4 years of experience in performance analysis, workload evaluation, or a related technical discipline.\n\n2-4 years of experience with scripting for automation, data collection, analysis, or technical testing.\n\n2-4 years of experience working with technical workloads, workload measurement, or workload performance evaluation.\n\nFoundational knowledge of hardware technologies and how hardware and software interact to influence performance.\n\nExperience analyzing technical data, measuring system or workload performance, and interpreting results.\n\nAbility to evaluate performance across different hardware configurations and identify meaningful differences.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.\n\nExperience documenting analysis results and presenting performance findings to technical audiences.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience evaluating emerging hardware technologies for cloud computing or large-scale infrastructure environments.\n\nFamiliarity with Azure workloads or other cloud computing platforms.\n\nExperience with hardware benchmarking, workload characterization, or system-level performance testing.\n\nKnowledge of CPU, GPU, memory, storage, networking, or other hardware components and their impact on workload performance.\n\nExperience identifying performance bottlenecks and evaluating hardware/software tradeoffs.\n\nExperience developing automation tools or scripts to streamline technical testing and data analysis.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted tools for technical analysis, data organization, or workflow automation.\n\nExperience presenting performance measurements and technical recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nCompensation\nAt Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.\nFor candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated compensation range is $40.00 - $45.00 USD per hour. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
