Build what matters.\nIn this role\nYou will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure, automation tools, and deployment pipelines that support software development and AI model training workflows. This hands-on role combines DevOps engineering, Python automation, cloud infrastructure, and build and release engineering to improve reliability, reduce manual work, and help engineering teams deliver software efficiently. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, automate repetitive processes, and support end-to-end development and deployment workflows in a collaborative, onsite engineering environment.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.\n\nAutomate software build, testing, validation, packaging, deployment, and release processes.\n\nDevelop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline engineering and operational workflows.\n\nProvision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure and development environments.\n\nManage source control, branching strategies, build systems, artifact management, and release workflows.\n\nImplement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration automation.\n\nManage software dependencies, environment configurations, credentials, secrets, and deployment settings.\n\nConfigure and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational health checks.\n\nTroubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, infrastructure problems, networking, and environment configuration challenges.\n\nImprove system reliability, deployment consistency, release quality, and developer productivity through automation.\n\nSupport containerized applications and deployment environments where applicable.\n\nIdentify repetitive manual processes and develop automated solutions to improve engineering efficiency.\n\nCollaborate with software engineers and technical stakeholders to improve development, testing, and deployment workflows.\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\n\nEvaluate and implement tools and technologies that improve automation, infrastructure management, and engineering workflows.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in a technical or related field.\n\n2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, build engineering, or release engineering.\n\nStrong Python programming and scripting skills.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.\n\nExperience with Git and modern source control workflows.\n\nHands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.\n\nExperience troubleshooting infrastructure, build, deployment, and environment issues.\n\nFamiliarity with Windows and/or Linux operating environments.\n\nAbility to independently investigate technical problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.\n\nStrong technical communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Azure DevOps and GitHub.\n\nExperience with Docker and containerized application environments.\n\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies.\n\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible.\n\nExperience with monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with networking, identity and access management, certificates, secrets management, and cloud security.\n\nExperience supporting development, testing, staging, and production environments.\n\nExperience building automation for AI model training, deployment pipelines, or other machine learning engineering workflows.\n\nExperience working in large-scale technology or enterprise engineering environments.\n\nSalary Range \nAt Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $40/hr-45/hr. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
