Based in Melbourne’s CBD, we work with a varied client base, including startups, SMEs and national businesses across industries such as property, technology, music and media.\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a Commercial Lawyer with around 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience to join our team. You’ll work across a broad range of commercial matters and advise clients on the practical decisions that shape their businesses.\nYou’ll also work closely with BlueRock’s accountants, finance brokers, financial planners and other specialists. It’s a chance to build strong working relationships across the business while developing your own client relationships and commercial experience.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDrafting and advising on shareholder agreements and other commercial agreements.\nWorking on commercial leases, business and asset sales, and general commercial transactions.\nNegotiating contracts and advising clients on commercial risks and options.\nManaging matters from initial advice through to completion.\nPreparing clear, practical advice, correspondence and legal documents.\nBuilding trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across BlueRock.\nCollaborating with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver joined-up advice.\nContributing to a supportive, inclusive and forward-thinking team.\nRequirements\nWhat you’ll bring\n2-4 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial law.\nExperience across general commercial transactions, such as shareholder agreements, leases, business or asset sales, and contract negotiation.\nStrong drafting, research and communication skills.\nA practical, client-focused approach and the confidence to manage matters.\nGood attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.\nA genuine interest in working collaboratively and growing your commercial practice.\nBenefits\nWe want our people to do great work and have a life outside it.
