With more than four decades of expertise providing painted metal coils and toll processing services for industries in the construction and consumer product markets, we pride ourselves on delivering premium quality, reliable service, and ongoing innovation to our customers.\nJob Description\nShift 5:45p to 6am Monday - Thursday\nCompensation starts at $21.50/hr\nNight Shift premium $1.50/hr\nUnder general supervision, the Material Handler I prepares and packages finished coils in a safe manner to a designated location. This includes operating exit recoiler controls, packaging equipment and driving a forklift. Communicates daily with employees from Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to help resolve any problems and help achieve company goals.\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities *\nResponsible for fulfilling exit assistant duties including operating exit recoiler controls, operating the packaging line and driving a forklift. \nResponsible for verifying that finished goods are properly identified with an identification ticket prior to moving them to a storage area \nResponsible for preparing materials to be used for packaging and shipping of finished coils \nResponsible for quarantining non-conforming material and notifying Quality Control when non-conforming conditions exist \nCommunicates daily with internal personnel from Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to help resolve any problems and help achieve company goals \nTransport a bore horizontal coil from the coil cart to the proper location including using a coil mat/chock. \nEducation & Experience Qualifications\nMinimum:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED) or experience \nPreferred:\nOne year of Manufacturing Experience \nSkills & Competencies\nBasic computer skills \nTime Management - prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands \nDetail Oriented - ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands \nGood communication skills \nAdditional Information\nThe preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.
