Help lead the development, negotiation and management of significant logistics contracts across our Australian businesses.\nReporting to the Manager Procurement and Contracts, Logistics, you will provide strategic logistics advice, lead improvement initiatives, negotiate logistics services, and manage major supplier relationships and contracts spanning multiple BlueScope business units. The role has influence over a portfolio of logistics contracts with significant annual spend predominantly covering road transport services.\nThis is an opportunity to shape logistics category strategies, deliver sustainable commercial value and work closely with senior internal stakeholders and key external suppliers.\nWhat will you do?\nIn this influential role, you will:\ndevelop and implement category strategies for significant existing and future logistics activities\nlead supplier negotiations and sourcing activities aligned with BlueScope business plans and logistics category strategies\npartner with Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement and other stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and the best total-cost solutions\ngovern major logistics contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring continuity of service, effective risk management and sustainable value\nlead the implementation of new logistics services agreements and associated business changes\nmanage supplier performance from both strategic and tactical perspectives\nmanage formal contract reviews and drive continuous improvement, cost management and innovation\nMore about you\nYou will bring:\nexperience within logistics and/or supply chain (preferably road logistics)\nstrong contract-management experience\ndemonstrated experience developing, negotiating, implementing and managing supplier contracts\nan understanding of key logistics cost drivers\nthe ability to engage with executive management and deliver outcomes through others\nhighly developed stakeholder-management, influencing and negotiation skills\nstrong commercial and business acumen\nthe ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple activities while maintaining attention to detail\na collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across internal and external networks.\nA tertiary qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics, Engineering, Commerce, Business or another relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
