As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have four major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.\nIn this action-oriented role, you’ll work with our high-quality products, such as COLORBOND® steel. Utilising your technical knowledge with a curiosity of the “what” and “why” things happen, you’ll work hands-on with our production teams to provide the best quality outcomes. Working in our high performing laboratory, you will provide chemical analysis of our products, processes and environmental samples.\nYou will predominantly work Monday to Friday 8-hour days but also provide relief to the Shift Chemist position as required, this role requires flexibility when working arelief role. You will also:\nsuccessfully contribute to a safe working environment\nwith exposure to the production of these products and processes, you’ll also ensure the quality analysis, evaluation, and manipulation of this data.\nutilise a range of different techniques and adapt existing processes, to help understand the root causes of production issues.\nensure all testing methodology and routine maintenance is performed to our laboratory standards and Laboratory Quality Systems and take any necessary corrective actions\nproactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline our procedures or testing\nMore About You\nWith your analytical and high attention to detail, you will combine your hands-on laboratory experience and your ability to analyse and interpret technical data.
