As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.\nThis position is working at BlueScope’s newest paint line, featuring modern equipment and automated process’ throughout the facility which produce our premium COLORBOND® products. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with our operations and maintenance teams performing a variety of tasks throughout shift, including operating machinery, equipment troubleshooting, plant setups and isolations.\nThis opportunity welcomes both experienced industrial electricians and electricians from commercial or residential backgrounds who are looking to build their experience in industrial automation and control systems. Comprehensive training and development can be provided to the right candidate.\nThis position works a 12-hour rotating day and night shift, 5 days a week.\nWhat Will You Do?\nDemonstrating your technical capability, you’ll actively participate in providing continuous improvement and outstanding services within the Western Sydney Service Centre. You will also:\noperate machinery and production equipment safely to maintain continuous line performance\nsuccessfully contribute to a safe working environment\nconduct equipment and process inspections, identifying issues and equipment not performing to standard\nprovide technical support and problem-solving insight to ensure the continuous functionality and reliability of equipment\nconduct fault finding on PLC, Drives, Data Network, HMI, and Instrumentation Systems\nwork collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve the efficiency of equipment\nensure our quality products meet customers’ expectations and requirements\nMore About You\nAs an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, you’ll bring your technical skills and experience.
