As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have four major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.\nAs the Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing plant maintains production by having a ready supply of parts and supplies at hand. The position is varied and will involve planning, inventory control, procurement, dealing and negotiating with suppliers and fielding technical inquiries from the maintenance and operations teams.\nIn addition to this you will also be responsible for quality administration and SAP and WMS system data integrity. Your ‘thinking-outside-of-the-box’ skills will thrive in this opportunity and support the organisation with respect to inventory management, purchasing and distribution of our products.\nThese positions work a rotating day/afternoon roster.\nWhat Will You Do?\nSuccess in this role will see you:\nsupporting the optimisation of inventory and stock availability in line with strategic direction\nmanaging stock movement including product receipting and order confirmations\nsuccessfully build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders; including maintenance service coordinators, stores personnel, maintenance personnel, operations and suppliers\ncontinually guide and recommend solutions when issues and new challenges arise daily\nWhy BlueScope\nAs we’re creating strength for the future through our people, products and solutions, BlueScope supports you to build your expertise within a safe and positive team environment.
