Orrcon Steel Distribution is a leading Australian supplier of steel and aluminium products, offering a comprehensive range engineered to meet the demands of diverse industries. Supported by strategic supplier partnerships and a nationwide network of distribution centres, we ensure consistent availability, reliable performance, and dependable supply for customers across Australia.\nReporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will lead a team of 20 team members working with the manufacturing team to deliver exceptional outcomes for our QLD Customers. In this fast-paced site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.\nThis position works on a rotating roster pattern working 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights.\nWhat Will You Do?\nThe role will see you:\nleading and supervising our operations area including product scheduling, machine operation and maintenance\nsupporting and assisting your team with daily operations\nidentifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and mitigate risk - striving for on time delivery for our customers\nensuring safety standards are continuously evolving, championing change when risks and opportunities are identified\ngrowing and mentoring your team to develop their technical capability\nMore About You\nYou will be an engaging leader focused on developing your team to deliver creative solutions to complex problems.
