We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.\nYour Work\nIn this role, you will:\nSupport the analytics needed to optimize our membership, cost of healthcare, and revenue\nDevelop tools and exhibits to improve our marketability in our highly competitive environment\nLearn or improve upon all coding languages as necessary\nSupport the analytics needed to understand network configuration scenarios and/or provider contract negotiation\nDevelop a deep understanding of healthcare industry provider reimbursement structure\n\nBe a part of the industry movement towards value-based care\nGain understanding of how finance work connects to Blue Shield of California’s mission to create a healthcare system that is worthy of our family and friends and sustainably affordable\n Your Knowledge and Experience\nPursuing a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Actuarial Science\nPreferred 1-2 years of related professional experience, project, or coursework\nA robust analytical skill-set (Microsoft Excel proficiency experience is required)\nFinancial acumen and ability to synthesize data into insights and/or reporting\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\nStrong relationship management and interpersonal skills\nAbility to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nHybrid\nThis role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.\nEmployees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.\nPay\n$25.00 per hour for Undergraduate\n$30.00 per hour for Graduate\nAbout Our Internships\nOur paid internship program is thoughtfully curated to provide students with experience and exposure to the health professional industry.
