The Project Manager, Principal - Markets Strategic Execution will report to the Director, Markets Strategic Execution. In this role you will function as a business and technical leader of large-scale initiatives of $5M+, partnering with business and technical product owners and managers to deliver required business outcomes and capabilities. The role is accountable for developing, managing, and monitoring estimates, budget, forecasts, and accruals; and is also responsible for managing and maintaining dashboards throughout delivery and representing and advocating for delivery teams during intake and quarterly delivery planning. Work\nIn this role, you will:\nManage large-scale, complex projects that involve multiple internal and external stakeholders \nOperate at a strategic business level to ensures initiatives are in line with Blue Shield of California strategic goals, consulting at all organizational levels, including senior management, making recommendations, and influencing decision-making\nDevelop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, risk management plan, test plan and related project management artifacts \nValidate financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures \nBuild, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles, adhering to and modeling Blue Shield of California values and behaviors\nDefine and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall and integrated delivery plan \nDetermine key business issues, monitor product roadmaps, develop effective action plans, and implement delivery of business value\nEvaluate trade-offs between initiative size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value\nIntegrate vendors as part of end-to-end solutions\nFacilitate operational readiness (business, technical and operational) activities throughout the lifecycle of initiatives including change management activities to support readiness\n Your Knowledge and Experience\nRequires a bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree \nRequires 10 years of prior relevant experience\nRequires demonstrated leadership on large-scale enterprise-wide projects and programs ($5M+ budgets), showing increasing responsibility of scope and schedule complexity, budget accountability, and communications \nRequires experience managing multiple cross-functional project based teams\nExperience managing direct or in-direct reports is preferred\nExperience with information technology operations and a technical background experience, including complex technical project management, is preferred \nKnowledge of Blue Shield of California (BSC) or prior healthcare payer experience is
