This role will work alongside engineers, program managers, and government stakeholders to design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical ground software supporting space systems.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, test, and maintain ground software components in Python supporting satellite mission operations\nCollaborate with systems engineers, program managers, and government customers to translate mission requirements into software solutions\nSupport the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, integration, test, and deployment\nParticipate in code reviews, unit testing, and verification/validation activities to ensure flight software reliability and mission assurance\nTroubleshoot and resolve software defects and anomalies identified during development, integration, and on-orbit operations\nSupport technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and software interface specifications\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to support satellite program milestones, reviews, and delivery schedules\nAdhere to applicable software development standards and mission assurance practices for space systems\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field\nMinimum 5 years of experience supporting flight software development\nProficiency in Python and related systems\nAbility to work on-site full-time in Alexandria, VA\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and program teams\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with satellite ground systems, spacecraft bus software, or mission operations software\nFamiliarity with software development in a classified/SCIF environment\nExperience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, or Agile development practices\nPrior DoD or IC space program experience\nSalary range for the position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge.
