The SeniorUsher reports to the Director of Front of House Operations. During events, the SeniorUsher reports to the House Manager and other event supervisory staff.\nDuties&Responsibilities\nAssistin supervising and instructing assigned usher staff.\nProvideadvice and assistanceto usher staff as needed.\nEnsure compliance with general safety policies and procedures for both patrons and staff.\nAccurately read and interpret theater tickets.\nReview fire evacuation procedures with ushers before every event.\nProvidequality customer service, addressing inquiries, requests, and complaints.\nAssistpatrons requiring special attention.\nAdhere to and enforce the late seating policy.\nMaintain a clean work area before, during, and after events.\nAct as a searcher, disabled person’s aid, traffic director, or leader during emergencies.\nAssume usher duties during events as required.\nFill in as Floor Supervisor when needed during events.\nAttendvarious staff meetingsand trainingsas required.\nRefer to policy and procedure manuals, safety plans, and floor plansas necessary.\nOperate various equipment such as telephones, assistedlistening devices, two-way radios, ropes/stanchions, wheelchairs, coat check equipment, flashlights, etc.\nParticipate in usher training.\nPerform related duties as required.\nEducation and Experience\nRequiresahighschooldiplomaorGEDequivalentsupplementedbyfouryearsofcustomer serviceexperience, with at least twoyears of experiencein live eventsor an equivalent combination of education, training and experiencethatprovidestherequiredknowledge,skillsandabilities.\nPreviouslive events experience is required.\nPrevioususher experiencehighlypreferred. \nKnowledge, Skillsand Abilities\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.\nFriendly and professional demeanor.\nAbility to remain calm and composed under pressure. \nKnowledge of basic theater etiquette and procedures is a plus. \nBilingual in English and any other language is a plus. \nPhysical Requirements\nSee and read tickets in low level lighting\nStand for long periodsof time (1-4 hours)\nWalk up and down stairs\nWalk up and down incline\nWork in high levelsincluding the balcony \nRespond quickly in emergency
