Based in Pune, this role will own the technical execution and operational excellence of multiple SaaS services running in production, including responsibility for reliability, scalability, release safety, and automated quality across versions and environments.\nThis is a hands-on Individual contributor role for a proven operator. You will be responsible for keeping SaaS platforms stable while moving fast-owning production incidents, rollbacks, debugging complex distributed failures, and building the automation needed to reduce risk and manual effort. You will work closely with Product Engineering and Platform teams to ensure high-quality, continuously delivered software.\nHere is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:\n\nDrive rollback strategies, release validation, and version management for complex, continuously deployed SaaS systems.\nDesign and implement robust CI/CD pipelines with strong automated test coverage at unit, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.\nEstablish automation-first practices for environment provisioning, test execution, deployment, monitoring, and recovery.\nLead debugging and troubleshooting efforts for distributed systems in production, partnering closely with development teams.\nBuild and evolve cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.\nChampion SRE principles: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, resilience testing, and operational metrics.\nAct as the point of accountability for production health, escalating risks early and driving corrective action.\nTo ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:\n8+ years of experience building and operating SaaS products in production environments.\nStrong hands-on background in SRE, DevOps, and Cloud Engineering (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\nDemonstrated experience handling production incidents, rollbacks, postmortems, and long-term reliability improvements.\nDeep experience with CI/CD systems and automated testing frameworks, with a strong bias toward test automation over manual processes.\nProven ability to design and maintain automation and integration tests for distributed cloud-native systems.\nExperience managing multiple active versions of SaaS products in production.\nStrong debugging skills across services, infrastructure, and pipelines.\nPractical experience with containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools.\nAbility to operate effectively in fast-moving environments with real production consequences.\nDirect, accountable leadership style with comfort owning operational outcomes.\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.\nWhilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:\n\nPrior experience with BMC’s software stack and internal platforms\nFormal SRE or cloud certifications\nOur commitment to you!\nBMC’s culture is built around its people.
