We acquired several companies along the way, and we continue to grow, innovate, and perfect our solutions on an ongoing basis.\nBMC is looking for a talented Java Product Developer to join our family working on complex and distributed software, developing, and debugging software products, implementing features, and assisting the firm in assuring product quality.\nHere is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:\nContribute to be a member of the Development team responsible for developing and debugging of software products.\nWork on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of several factors.\nWork across product lines with interaction of other BMC products\nIndependently design and implement features that address customer needs with a sense of ownership within given timelines\nAs every BMC employee, you will be given the opportunity to learn, be included in global projects, challenge yourself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems.\nTo ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:\n\n3 -5 years of experience with z/OS Environment (including structure and logic), working in z/OS Internals. \n3 -5 years of experience in IBM coding and development, including extensive development experience using C, C++ programming languages. (system-side development - not only applications development), Good handle on HLASM, CLIST, JCL.\nStrong experience working with JES2. Experience with IBM Mainframe environment (TSO/ISPF, JCL, Db2, VSAM etc.).\nDump reading analysis is critical using IPCS, XDC etc.\nExperience in developing working code utilizing low-level operating system functions to accomplish a desired task.\nExperience creating functional designs/specifications from business requirements.\nIn-depth experience in troubleshooting complex problems at application and systems levels.\nSelf-starter with ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.\nWhilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: \nAdoption of AI-assisted development practices across the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), leveraging tools such as Cursor.ai to improve productivity, code quality, design efficiency, and development velocity.\nUtilize Cursor.ai to accelerate software design, code generation, unit test creation, debugging, refactoring, code reviews, and technical documentation activities.\nKnowledge of Source code management tools like BMC Code pipeline, GitHub \nSMP/e knowledge is a plus.\nDUMP Reading \nKnowledge of Mainframe Db2 and SQL.\nCA-DNP\nOur commitment to you!\nBMC’s culture is built around its people.
