Join us as a Sr Commissions Analyst!
As a Sr Commissions Analyst at BMC, you will manage and optimize commission systems, translate compensation plans into scalable workflows, and provide the insights that enable sales teams to perform with confidence. Your work directly supports trust, transparency, and performance across our global sales organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, effectiveness, and evolution of BMC’s sales compensation processes.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC Software's and your own success:
- Administer and optimize sales commissions platforms (e.g., Xactly, Callidus, SAP Commissions) to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and HR to deliver accurate and timely commission calculations.
- Translate compensation plans into scalable system logic, workflows, and reporting structures.
- Perform audits, reconciliations, and data validation to maintain strong data integrity and compliance.
- Generate commission statements, dashboards, and insights that drive transparency and decision-making.
- Support compensation plan modeling, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across tools and processes.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in sales operations, commissions administration, or compensation analytics.
- You have hands-on experience with sales compensation tools such as Xactly, Callidus, SAP Commissions, or comparable platforms.
- You are confident working with data tools including Excel and SQL, and can leverage visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- You understand compensation structures and can translate business requirements into system logic and workflows.
- You communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations.
- You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an interest in improving processes and leveraging AI/GenAI where relevant.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a SaaS or complex enterprise software environment.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and CRM data structures.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and audit controls related to compensation.
- Experience leveraging AI & GenAI Technology for productivity and the sales operations & commissioning function.
