Combining hands-on software engineering with domain understanding and close collaboration with end users, you turn product capabilities into working, valued solutions and feed field learning back into the product.\nHere is how, through this role, you will contribute to BMC’s and your own success:\nDeploy, configure, and customize BMC’s agentic AI in customer environments (on-prem, hyperscaler, or OpenShift), ensuring value from Day 1.\nTake ownership of features and integrations end-to-end, even when requirements are incomplete or evolving.\nBuild integrations with customer systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nSupport proofs-of-concept and pilots end-to-end; resolve technical and business blockers; keep stakeholders informed.\nWork directly with customers across regions/time zones, with travel as required.\nAct as a trusted technical advisor on agentic-AI adoption with human-in-the-loop, governed approaches.\nBring field learnings back to product and engineering based on real usage.\nContribute pragmatic engineering standards - CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.\nLead technically ambiguous customer engagements where success criteria evolve.\nMake tradeoffs among customization, product fit, security/governance, and time-to-value.\nMentor peers on customer engineering practices and communication.\nInfluence product/engineering priorities with structured field evidence.\nTo ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:\nTypically, 5-9 years of relevant experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nPython and software-engineering fundamentals; LLM/RAG/agents/prompt engineering literacy (depth scales with level).\nEnterprise systems/API integration; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nContainers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD as level requires.\nExcellent verbal and written communication; customer comfort scales with level.\nRapid prototyping and ownership; willingness to travel as needed.\nEnd-to-end customer delivery ownership for AI or complex enterprise software.\nOperates with incomplete requirements and still drives outcomes.\nExecutive-ready communication without losing technical accuracy.\nWhilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:\nCustomer, on-prem, or air-gapped deployments.\nPresales, solutions-engineering, or professional-services experience.\nDomain exposure relevant to the hiring team; Agile/Atlassian.\n#LI-Remote\nOur commitment to you!\nBMC’s culture is built around its people.
