Our team partners with customers to deliver measurable business outcomes while ensuring successful adoption of BMC solutions and best practices.\nRole Overview\nThe Project Manager is responsible for leading complex customer engagements focused on Mainframe and Control-M modernization and SaaS migrations. This role serves as the primary customer-facing delivery leader, partnering with executive sponsors, technical stakeholders, consultants, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and customers achieve their desired business outcomes.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong project and program management capabilities with experience in enterprise infrastructure, mainframe technologies, workload automation, and digital transformation initiatives.\n\nResponsibilities\nLead end-to-end delivery of Mainframe and Control-M modernization and Saas migrations projects.\nAct as the primary customer-facing project leader, providing exceptional project governance and stakeholder management at executive, business, and technical levels.\nDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, communication plans, and governance frameworks.\nEnsure successful project execution by coordinating cross-functional teams across Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success Management, Support, Product Management, Engineering, and customer organizations.\nDrive project governance through regular status reporting, steering committee meetings, risk reviews, executive briefings, and customer workshops.\nIdentify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes while ensuring alignment to business objectives.\nManage customer expectations regarding project scope, deliverables, timelines, risks, and business outcomes.\nCoordinate deployment readiness, testing, knowledge transfer, and transition-to-support activities to ensure successful project completion.\nTrack project financial performance, forecasts, change requests, and resource utilization.\nDrive customer satisfaction and successful realization of business value throughout the engagement lifecycle.\nPromote delivery excellence, continuous improvement, and adoption of Professional Services best practices.\nAs a BMC employee, leverage opportunities to participate in global initiatives, expand your expertise, and help drive innovation across the organization.\nExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) with strong customer-facing and stakeholder management abilities.\nFluent English and Spanish language skills are required. French language proficiency is a strong plus.\nProven project management, leadership, consulting, analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects.\nDemonstrated experience managing large and complex enterprise accounts while interacting with senior IT and business executives.\nStrong experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders across Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success Management, Support, Product Management, Engineering.\nProven experience facilitating executive governance meetings, steering committees, workshops, and strategic planning sessions.\nAbility to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies while maintaining customer satisfaction.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive and customer-centric approach to delivery.\nAbility to learn and effectively utilize BMC delivery tools, methodologies, and emerging technologies.\nExperience working within global, geographically distributed, and multicultural teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\n8+ years of project or program management experience delivering enterprise software, infrastructure, automation, or modernization projects.\nPMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.\nExperience leading Mainframe modernization or Control-M SaaS migration programs.\nExperience delivering Professional Services projects within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, or Public Sector organizations.\nFamiliarity with BMC's Mainframe and Digital Business Automation portfolios.\nBS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nExperience managing projects involving application migration, workload automation transformation, infrastructure modernization, or operational automation programs.\n#LI-Remote\nOur commitment to you!\nBMC’s culture is built around its people.
