If you're looking for a role that combines both technical and customer-facing (B2B enterprise) tasks; If you have deep technical expertise in mainframe automation platforms, strong system programming experience, and customer-facing delivery skills - This is the role for you!\nWhat You'll Do:\n Deliver end-to-end mainframe automation projects for conversion (e.g., from third-party tools to BMC solutions) & provide technical assistance to our enterprise customers.\n Design, implement and optimize mainframe automation solutions aligned with business and operational requirements.\n Conduct tooling conversions (e.g., Broadcom/IBM solutions to BMC AMI suite), ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.\n Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, customers, and technical teams, to ensure successful project delivery.\n Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation, including design artefacts, deployment and testing strategies.\n Monitor project progress and ensure milestones, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.\n Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members where required.\n Act as a customer-facing consultant, capable of translating technical concepts into business value.\n Capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex mainframe automation issues.\n Requirements:\nCore Technical Skills:\n Strong Mainframe Systems Programming (SYSPROG) skills, including deep knowledge of z/OS environments.\n Experience of installation and maintenance of AMI Ops products, SMP/E & JCL. \n Proficiency in REXX scripting for automation and operational tooling.\n Knowledge of SSM and Total Object manager.\n Hands-on experience with mainframe automation and monitoring tools, including: (Broadcom: OPS/MVS); (IBM: AF/OPER); (BMC: AMI Automation)\n Specialist Experience:\n Proven track record of end-to-end product migration/conversion projects, particularly from competitor tools to BMC solutions\n Experience designing and implementing automation strategies and monitoring frameworks\n Professional Skills:\n Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills\n Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)\n Ability to produce high-quality documentation\n Proven ability to:\n Work independently\n Collaborate effectively within a team environment\n Lead initiatives when required to ensure successful delivery\nStrong project delivery mindset, with experience working to deadlines and milestones\nCA-DNP\nOur commitment to you!\nBMC’s culture is built around its people.
