Responsibilities include applying technical expertise, planning and coordinating project activities, and mentoring less experienced engineers and scientists.\n\nLocation: Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, or Northern NSW\nKey Responsibilities\nPerforms professional technical work requiring experience and knowledge.\nSupervises and reviews the work of more junior engineers.\nMakes judgements and recommendations on technical matters within area of expertise.\nProviding strategic technical advice to internal and external clients. \nUses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices to complete assignments.\nShares knowledge and acts as mentor to more junior staff within area of expertise.\nAdheres to quality, safety, and environmental procedures/standards.\nLiaises with clients, potential and current, for the purposes of service delivery, networking, and business development.\nMay be responsible for developing proposals and presenting to clients. \nMay act as Project Manager on a range of flood related projects, managing projects to scope and within time, cost and quality requirements.\nDemonstrates advanced knowledge of relevant software, systems and processes.\nMay contribute to, or be the author of, technical papers.\nMaintains, or is working towards, Chartered or Certified status.\nUndertakes other specific tasks including:\nFlood studies and floodplain risk management studies, site-specific studies\nFlood risk and impact assessments, flood emergency response plans and flood mitigation studies\nReport writing and review.\nContribution to team engagement initiatives.\nCommunity Consultation. \nWork winning is a team effort.
