BMWC, a leading industrial construction company, is seeking a Safety Specialist to join our team and support the successful delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects.\nIn this role, you’ll work directly with project leadership, field supervision, employees, clients, and contractors to help identify hazards, support safe work practices, and ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements. You’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of construction safety while helping build a strong safety culture in the field.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAs a Safety Specialist you will:\nPartner with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Field Supervision to support day-to-day safety needs on assigned projects.\nConduct field safety audits and inspections, identify potential hazards, and work with project teams to implement appropriate controls and corrective actions.\nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, company, and client safety policies, procedures, and requirements.\nSupport the implementation of project-specific safety plans, programs, and procedures.\nConduct and support safety orientations, training, toolbox talks, and other project safety communications.\nEducate and coach project leadership and field employees on safety responsibilities, safe work practices, hazard recognition, and incident prevention.\nAssist with incident and near-miss investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.\nWork closely with project leadership and field personnel to proactively identify and address changing safety risks throughout project execution.\nCoordinate with clients, contractors, and other project partners to address safety concerns and project-specific requirements.\nMaintain accurate and organized project safety records, inspection documentation, training records, and other required safety information.\nPerform additional job-related duties as assigned.\nREQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered\n1 to 3 years of safety experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or a related environment\nOSHA 510 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred\nNCCER safety credential or related construction safety certification preferred\nWorking knowledge of OSHA construction standards and general construction safety practices\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with project leadership, field employees, clients, and contractors\nStrong observational and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize hazards and help identify practical solutions\nOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment\nAbility and willingness to work on active construction projects and travel as required\nCompetitive pay with bonus\nPTO and paid holidays\nPaid Volunteer Time Off\n401(k)/Profit Sharing with company match\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\nLife, AD&D and Disability benefits\nPet insurance\nTuition assistance\nBENEFITS\nABOUT US\nBMWC tackles the world’s toughest and most daunting industrial construction challenges.
