This is a dynamic, field-based role supporting BNP's baggage handling systems (BHS) program for a high-touch client account where expertise and a consistent, professional on-site presence are essential.\nWorking under the direction of the Senior Project Manager / Site Support Lead and in coordination with BNP's broader project engineering team, you will provide day-to-day field engineering coverage, conducting functional assessments, inspections, and tests, and supporting installation and commissioning activities. This role is best suited to someone who is local to the Greater Toronto Area (or able to relocate) and can be on-site consistently, as the pace and expectations of this account make remote or fly-in coverage impractical.\nOur offices are intended to be small, collaborative communities. No two projects are the same - the work is always fresh, challenging, and rewarding.\nJob Responsibilities\nServe as the on-site field engineering presence supporting BHS installation, testing, and commissioning activities at YYZ. \nConduct functional assessments of BHS and related systems and document findings for the project team and client. \nPerform site inspections, field surveys, and equipment tests; support construction management tasks. \nAssist with punch list resolution and provide start-up/commissioning support. \nDevelop and review CAD drawings, engineering designs, specifications, and technical reports. \nSupport RFI responses and coordinate with Designers, Directors, and the Senior Project Manager on required documentation. \nConduct and review system simulations and verify compliance with project requirements. \nRepresent BNP professionally in day-to-day interactions with the client and contractors on-site. \nCoordinate closely with the Senior Project Manager / Site Support Lead on daily priorities and evolving client expectations. \nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent field experience). \n5+ years of relevant field or project engineering experience, ideally within BHS, aviation, or airport infrastructure environments. \nDemonstrated experience conducting functional assessments, field surveys, inspections, and equipment tests. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism to interface directly with a detail-oriented, high-expectation client. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). \nBased in, or able to relocate to, the Greater Toronto Area, with the ability to be on-site at YYZ on a daily or near-daily basis. \nAbility to pass criminal background checks and obtain/maintain airport security credentials (RAIC). \nPreferred\nPrior experience with baggage handling systems (BHS) or automated material handling. \nBackground in ground handling, logistics, or airport operations. \nFamiliarity with AutoCAD or Revit. \nExperience supporting large-scale hub airport programs. \nEducation\nBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required. \nEIT (Engineer-in-Training), or progress toward P.Eng., preferred but not required. \nWorking Conditions\nPrimarily on-site at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ);
