This role is located in Boston, MA.\nIn this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:\nProvide day-to-day administration and support functions(monitoring, maintenance, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting) for hundreds of Oracle databases.\nWork closely with internal organizations to respond to client issues and support requests.\nMonitor database availability, space and performance.\nPerform backup and restoration of databases.\nImprove database performance by tuning individual SQL statements, implementing architectural changes or configuring database parameters. \nOptimize environment management through standardization and automation.\nProvide on-call support for database environments on a rotating schedule.\nEvaluate new features and functionality.\nSetup and maintain Oracle GoldenGate services for client data replication.\nTo be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. **EXPERIENCE:** Typically 6-10 years of experience\n10+ years of IT experience in managing and administrating Oracle databases in Linux environment.\nExperience with the design and modification of structures in a relational database environment such as Oracle Database or SQL Server.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and skilled at troubleshooting issues over multiple technical environments.\nGood understanding of Oracle Architecture and Internals.\nStrong database DBA experience in managing Oracle versions 12c/19c.\nExperienced in Oracle database Upgrades and Patch management.\nStrong knowledge of Oracle ASM administration.\nExperience with backup/recovery solutions using RMAN.\nExperience in setting up and troubleshooting Oracle Data Guard.\nExperience with identifying and tuning SQL queries using Oracle Technologies.\nExperience with Oracle RAC clustering.\nExperience with managing databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager.\nExperience in Automating DBA tasks using shell script and other programming languages.\nExperience with Oracle Exadata cloud at Customer (a plus)\nExperienced in implementing and administering Goldengate replication (a plus).\nExperience with SQL Server administration (a plus).\nKey Technologies:\nOracle RDBMS/Grid Infrastructure(Versions 19c and up)\nOracle RAC\nOracle Exadata\nOracle Golden Gate\nOracle Enterprise Manager\nOracle ZFS\nOracle ZDLRA\nSQL Server\nLinux\nShell/Python/SQL/PLSQL Scripting\nWork Information:\nPrimary Work Shift: Mon-Fri 9:00AM - 5:00PM ET\nAlternating Work Shift: Mon-Fri 2:00PM - 10:00PM ET\nWeekend on-call duties on a rotating basis with the rest of the team.Sat: 9:00AM - 9:00PM for scheduled work and as needed for emergency coverage.\nSun: As needed for emergency coverage.\n\nHybrid in-office work schedule.
