Join us and be part of something extraordinary.\nWe’re seeking a Director, MQ Support / Administrator professional to join our production services middleware team.\nIn this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:\nAdminister, support, and provision IBM MQ environments across IBM MQ appliances and/or containerized platforms\nManage TLS certificates to maintain secure and reliable messaging connectivity\nPerform firmware upgrades and support ongoing platform maintenance activities\nDeploy, configure, and maintain MQIPT environments\nProvision new MQ infrastructure and support day-to-day operational requirements\nMonitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and drive timely resolution of incidents\nSupport incident management activities, including triage, escalation, resolution, and service restoration\nSupport change management processes, including production changes, maintenance planning, and implementation activities\nPartner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability, security, and compliance\nMaintain operational documentation, technical procedures, and support standards\nContribute to continuous improvement, reliability enhancement, and performance optimization initiatives\nTo be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:\nBachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial. 12+ years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.\nHands-on experience with IBM MQ appliances and/or container-based MQ deployments\nExperience managing TLS certificates in enterprise environments\nExperience performing firmware upgrades and related infrastructure maintenance\nExperience with MQIPT deployments and provisioning\nExperience with change management and incident management in a production support environment\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and production support experience\nStrong understanding of secure messaging, connectivity, and operational best practices\nAbility to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment\nz/OS support experience strongly preferred\nStrong communication skills strongly desired\nExperience supporting highly available, enterprise-scale messaging environments preferred\nFamiliarity with automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code practices preferred\nExperience working in large, regulated financial services environments preferred\nAt BNY, our culture speaks for itself, check out the latest BNY news at:\nBNY Newsroom\nBNY LinkedIn\nHere’s a few of our recent awards:\nAmerica’s Most Innovative Companies, Fortune, 2025 \nWorld’s Most Admired Companies, Fortune 2025 \n“Most Just Companies”, Just Capital and CNBC, 2025 \nOur Benefits and Rewards:\nBNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
