Based out of our facility in Haileybury, Ontario or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Opportunities are available to work in Northern Ontario, Northern British Columbia and the Yukon.\nHourly Wage: $37.70/hr - $50.68/hr plus bonus\nPosition Responsibilities\nRepair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain drilling equipment and mobile support equipment used within the scope of Boart Longyear Drilling operations. This position will be located in Haileybury, Ontario.\nMain duties\nMechanics perform some or all of the following duties:\nCheck for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions\nDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair required\nAdjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools\nTest repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets regulatory specifications\nClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment\nPerform repair work on all Boart Longyear Drilling equipment\nMay service specialty attachments or components and maintain, adjust and repair such items\nEnsure standards for safe working conditions are observed\nEstablish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments\nRequisition parts, materials and supplies\nResolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity\nExperience with LM drills, Swick drills, Minecats and Kubotas would be an asset\nEmployment requirements\nMillwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Trade Certification (Red Seal)\nCompletion of secondary school is usually required\nCompletion of three- to five-year apprenticeship program\nThis position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license.
