The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient operations of the drill site, including managing staff and ensuring delivery of a quality product as per customer specifications in a safe, cost-effective manner.\nSalary: $642.70 - $685.55 per day\nPosition Responsibilities:\nExemplify a firm commitment to safety through the adherence to and implementation of EH&S policies and procedures.\nOversee drill site setup, organization, and housekeeping to the highest standards.\nImplement best practices to maximize safe productivity to meet Boart Longyear’s contract expectations and client objectives.\nCreating a work environment that is respectful, open, appreciative, and values each person.\nEmployee evaluations to be completed as per training schedule.\nMentor, train, and retain crew members as part of Boart Longyear’s commitment to employee development.\nCreate a work environment where employees can progress through their training plan and pursue a career in the drilling industry.\nEnsure all equipment is well-maintained in order to ensure maximum efficiency.\nFacilitate ongoing vital communication between employees, operations and the client.\nEnsure the accurate and timely completion of all reporting and administrative requirements. Which includes; safety reports, daily drill reports, site inductions, change over meetings, etc.\nLiaison between field and Divisional Head Office regarding inventory planning and control. This requires the maintenance of appropriate inventories of materials and parts required to complete projects.\nMonthly management interaction and rig inspection to be documented into Intelex.\nTeamwork - work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI's.\nMaintain all required documentation for employees and send necessary documentation to Head Office.\nPosition Qualifications:\nMinimum of 3 - 5 years of experience within the Drilling Services industry\nRegistered Drilling Qualifications/Certifications\nValid Standard First Aid Certificate\nMust demonstrate significant knowledge with regards to multiple drilling processes and principles\nDemonstrate strong leadership skills and abilities\nExcellent communication skills\nAbility to effectively coach/train/mentor other employees\nDemonstrate a strong safety background\nProject Management skills\nAptitude for problem solving\nSuccess in developing positive stakeholder relationships\nValid Driver’s License\nComputer skills such as MS Office and Excel\nThis posting is a standing posting and may or may not reflect current opportunities.\nWe utilize AI tools on job posting platforms to assist with the initial screening and ranking of applications based on job-related criteria.\nBoart Longyear welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
