The HiLACC Flight Sciences team is a direct extension of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Flight Sciences team in the USA.\nThe role on offer is for a 3-month summer Aerodynamics Engineering Intern to start in June/July 2027 supporting BCA Flight Sciences work at the HiLACC. The intern will be actively involved in contributing to aerodynamics research in areas including (among others):\nAerodynamic research and analysis.\nThe development and utilisation of analytical predictive capabilities (such as CFD, etc).\nContributing to the development of robust analysis processes.\nAt Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. Find your future with us!\nPosition Responsibilities:\nUnderstand the array of predictive capabilities utilised in the aerodynamic design of aeroplanes.\nAssist in some of the research and development projects ongoing at the HiLACC which may include:Supporting the development of robust tools for CFD workflows\nHigh-lift characteristics\nFlow physics\nAircraft wake analysis\nWind tunnel data interpretation\n\nLearn and start to utilise predictive capabilities such as CFD to understand flow phenomena in aeroplane design and wind tunnel testing.\nShadow and assist work in the development of geometry and analysis tools aligned with model based engineering.\nActively participate in group meetings and technical discussions.\nUnderstand the need for wind tunnel testing and provide some support for any ongoing tests and the related data analysis.\nDue to the nature of the role and HiLACC team, the role is primarily based onsite.
