Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Structures Technician, working out of the CFB Trenton, ON to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.\nThe Aircraft Structures Technician will work directly under the guidance of the Lead Structure Technician and report directly to the onsite Maintenance Manager.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nAssembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems and components IAW applicable Technical Orders and regulations.\n\nEnsure timely repairs of maintenance activities ensuring the Customer aircraft is returned to service in a timely manner to the required standard meeting Boeing’s and Royal Canadian Air Force Airworthiness requirements.\n\nMeet individual training requirements for mandatory and non-mandatory training.\n\nComplies and Operates within a Safety Culture, First Time Quality, FOD Reporting, advising the Lead/Maintenance Manager of any compliance risk/escapes during Maintenance Operations.\n\nWorks with the Quality/Safety Teams to address occurrences and audit findings in a timely manner.\n\nAbility to perform within the MAST and Squadron Maintenance as part of a cohesive team, working toward a common goal.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician /Aircraft Mechanic, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level A.\n\nKnowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices.\n\nMust have knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).\n\nMust have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed S/M2 rating or Military equivalent.\n\nMust be legally able to work in Canada.\n\nMust be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions.\n\nMust consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.\n\nIndividuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.\n\nMust be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.\n\nMust be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):\n3+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.\n\nCanadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC)\n\nDepartment of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program\n\nActive Secret Level II security clearance..\n\nProven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.\n\nKnowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), current ERKS at 429 Transport Squadron is the Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system.\n\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nAdditional Information:\nThis requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada.
