We are seeking an Airworthiness Engineer to lead commercial aircraft certification programmes, driving safety, quality, and technical excellence. You will apply industry knowledge, experience, and best practices to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.\nThe successful candidate will be an integral part of our modification teams, developing, certifying, and integrating commercial aircraft modification solutions across a variety of domains, including cabin interiors, IFE, connectivity, and other emerging technologies. Project assignments may be tailored to organisational needs and candidate strengths, with flexibility to shift focus as priorities evolve.\n\nPosition Responsibilities\nLead and manage the route to certification, including the development of change classifications, certification programmes, and compliance checklists\nLiaise with EASA on applications for STC / major design changes\nAssist in development of best practice materials for the design organisation, including development and delivery of training\nAid the Head of the Design Organisation (HDO and Chief of Airworthiness (CoA) in:\nMonitoring new regulations and GM issued by EASA\nEnsuring that all design activities performed are within the terms of approval as specified in the design organisation approval certificate\nEnsuring the classification of the changes and repairs designed by the organisation is correct\nChecking all compliance documents are prepared as necessary to demonstrate compliance with regulations, as well as for completeness\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions following internal and external audits, as well as occurrences (failure, malfunction, or defect)\nImplement strategic initiatives to improve Design Organisation performance\nAid the Chief of Independent Monitoring Function with technical review of completed projects\nRepresent the Office of Airworthiness (OOA) at milestone project meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR)\nSupport relevant Review Boards (Technical and Safety)\nOccasional domestic and/or international travel may be required\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\nAviation/aerospace industry experience with minimum 3 years within an EASA Part 21 Design environment\nAble to demonstrate a working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, CFR Part 25 & EASA Part 21J design organisations\nMust be fluent in English, both written and spoken\nHaving right to work in the UK\nA high level of attention to detail and professional integrity\nPositive attitude, willing to learn, ability to work in a multicultural environment\nGood interpersonal skills, willingness to listen to suggestions and ideas from colleagues\nAbility to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nAbility to adapt to other cultures and styles of doing business\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience as an EASA CVE in a DOA \nKnowledge of commercial aircraft connectivity \nAbility to deliver training via classroom and multimedia\nThe Boeing benefits package goes above and beyond, focusing on your physical, emotional, financial, and social well-being.
