Applicant will participate in organizational level maintenance activities (e.g. flight line tasks including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement, and structural repair) associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet KAF mission requirements.\nAs Lead Coordinator you will oversee multiple final scheduled maintenance visit plans and manage a major plan. Leads maintenance debrief and records review. Defines project schedule, approves definition, manages resource requirements and parts availability with supply-chain. Tracks quality metrics and initiates corrective action\nPosition Responsibilities:\n· English is the primary language of the KAF community on the airbase in Kuwait. All technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English. Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary.\nServes as the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) shift leader and is responsible for coordination of all aircraft organizational maintenance activities in a fast-paced, dynamic flight line environment and during recurring Home Station Checks.\nDirects, trains, and mentors a group of multi-level mechanics/technicians in the execution of daily aircraft launch, recovery, pre/post-flight, maintenance activities, and servicing tasks.\nMaintains a continuous communication link between touch labor, Field Operations management, Boeing support functions, and KAF flight crews.\nWorks with Logistics Data Management function to develop maintenance plans, including prioritizing, scheduling, and reporting of aircraft/maintenance status and accomplishment unscheduled maintenance activities.\nUnderstands the critical relationship between the flying schedule and airworthiness requirements/availability of parts when allocating manpower resources.\nUtilizes sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate acceptable quality standards before authorizing exceptional release of the aircraft.\nLiaisons with internal/external customers as the subject matter expert for KAF aircraft condition and operational capability.\nUtilizes knowledge/experience to evaluate issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans that enhance the overall mission capable rate.\nParticipates with organizational leaders in the development and implementation of plans and objectives (e.g., long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives).\nManages, develops, and updates CLS processes/procedures.\nTracks quality metrics and reports on the health of the organization.\nWorks independently with very little direction and must be resilient to a fluid environment with changing customer requirements.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n· 10+ years of C17 Maintenance experience\n· This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nExperience managing C-17 flight line operational maintenance activities in an Air Force environment highly desired.\nExperience supporting Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in a multi-national environment preferred.\nKnowledge of import/export regulations is required. Extensive knowledge of Air Force procedures, processes, technical orders, and maintenance information systems (e.g. G081) is a must.\nWide-ranging and specialized knowledge of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and subsystems, including its associated technical network, is required.\nTypical Education/ Experience:\nEducation/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).\nEmployment will be contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country, which includes a clean criminal records check.\nThis position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.\nEmployer is willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status\nThis requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Kuwait.
