This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.\nThe Digital Infrastructure Software Engineering Manager will lead 10-15 employees performing DevOps, platform reliability, and automation functions. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically skilled manager to lead, grow, and mature the DevOps practice.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nIntegrate with stakeholders to understand program-wide requirements for reporting, observability, and execution\nLead 10-15 engineers responsible for establishing processes, tooling, and automations to improve platform reliability, deployment velocity, and security\nCoach and train direct and indirect employees to promote widespread DevOps best practices (automation, IaC, monitoring, incident response)\nCoordinate with product management, architecture, and other stakeholders to align backlogs, roadmaps, and infrastructure plans\nManage inter-team dependencies, risks, and integration points across platforms\nDefine and track meaningful metrics (deployment success rate, lead time for changes, deployment frequency, MTTR, change failure rate, system health, and team health)\nUse feedback from other managers, engineers, and program management to drive organizational continuous improvement\nManage budgets and forecasts related to DevOps initiatives, tooling, and platform modernization\nEnsure security and compliance in all DevOps activities (DevSecOps practices)\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
