You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems.\nProject assignments typically span the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test. Candidates will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the El Segundo, CA, location.\nThis worksite participates in Boeing’s optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDesigning and developing next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems \nDeveloping and verifying multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms\nConducting performance analysis of signal processing models\nPerforming waveform development and characterization\nPerforming trade studies\nSupporting integration ant test of our payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations\nSupporting HDL-level design and verification\nPerforming detailed system design and verification activities\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.\nBachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.\nExperience in Digital signal processing (DSP) / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, turbo/viterbi coding/decoding, channel estimation, filter design, resampling theory, etc.)\n1+ years of experience with Matlab or Simulink.\n3 + years of experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory\n1+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design).\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nExperience working with ASICs or FPGAs\nExperience with performance characteristics of analog electronics or data converters (ADCs / DACs)\nExperience with digital/RF lab equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer)\n3+ years of experience with Matlab and/or Simulink\n5+ years of experience in digital signal processing or digital communications\n3+ years of experience in systems engineering concepts (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design)\nLeading teams\nLeading IR&D activities\nMid-level: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience\nLead Level: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience\nConflict of Interest: \nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.\nRelocation:\nThis position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
