Other areas of responsibility include engineering and hardware sustainment that extends to multiple air force bases and labs across the United States.\nThe AISF lab team plays a key role supporting the B-1 platform requirements in areas of avionics and weapons integration, by making changes in the lab first to ensure the software and hardware design are ready prior to ground and flight test. This engineering position is part of a small highly collaborative design team working multiple lab changes to satisfy customer requirements and ultimately the airmen who use the weapon system.\nThis position is part of the Laboratory Operations team, comprising engineers, technicians, and cybersecurity professionals.\nBT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Mid-Level Electronic & Electrical System Design Engineers.\nTravel: This position will require occasional domestic travel up to 10% to support program objectives.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDesign lab changes for new test articles and integration that support platform upgrades\nDesign lab changes to existing systems to resolve Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) incorporating new technology\nCollaborate with the cyber security team to make design changes that support cyber security requirements\nDevelop and support the generation of hardware modification and configuration planning\nDirect material procurement for lab design upgrades, modifications, and assembly oversight\nCreate test plans and procedures, perform engineering verification, analyze test results, and create test reports\nPerforms classification and de-classification of test equipment to support lab users\nSupport software engineers in the lab environment, troubleshooting laboratory and test-related problems\nContribute to proposal development for new business opportunities\nCandidate must be willing to travel for short periods\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\n2+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering working on complex systems\n2+ years of experience troubleshooting avionic equipment, general electronics, and/or aircraft systems\nExperience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication\nWilling and able to travel domestically 10% of the time\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\n Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nAn active U.S. Secret Security Clearance in the past 24 months\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and/or other Engineering discipline\nExperience with simulation systems used to test avionics software\nAbility to create or modify electrical and mechanical drawings per ASME Y14 standards\nExperience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)\nExperience with CATIA V5 drafting tools, Linux, and Windows operating systems is desirable\nAvionics experience with the B-1 Bomber or another platform\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nShift:\nThis role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.\nPay & Benefits:\nAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
