Mission systems labs are representations of the aircraft’s subsystems including: mission computing, mission communications (COMM), mission navigation (NAV), electronic warfare self protect (EWSP), electronic support measures (ESM), RADAR / Radar Identify Friend Foe (RIFF), installed in a building to perform software and hardware integration testing and/or formal verification testing of requirements.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nManage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.\nDevelop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.\nAcquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.\nDevelop and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.\nProvide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.\nManage, develop and motivate employees.\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n3+ years of experience in aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience\nUnderstanding of engineering mission systems laboratory environments\nCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course \"Exploring Leadership\".\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry\n3+ years of experience providing technical leadership for an engineering team.\nAbility to lead teams and execute within a structured environment\nExperience working across multiple engineering disciplines\nDemonstrated experience supporting program milestone events as well as CDRL generation and maintenance to include test plans and report writing\nExperience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts.\nExperience with Military or Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion, or Systems.\nExperience with certification processes and working directly with regulatory authorities.\nAbility to work out of comfort zone, where process definition does not exist or is unclear.\nAbility to take ownership / initiative, pull teams together, establish operating rhythm, remove roadblocks.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nRelocation:\nRelocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
