You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems. Project assignments typically span the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test. You will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop next generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems.\nDevelop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.\nAllocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads.\nDevelop performance and link budgets.\nConduct performance analysis of signal processing models.\nAssist with conducting trade studies.\nDevelop prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds.\nSupport unit-level integration and performance simulations.\nSupport ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification.\nSupport hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):\nAbility to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship \nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science\nEducation or experience in signal processing\nExperience in a role that required strong communication skills, written and verbal\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):\nExperience working with ASICs or FPGAs\nCoursework and/or experience in analog/digital signal processing\nExperience or coursework using Matlab/Simulink\nTypical Education & Experience:\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
