Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.\nPosition Overview\nThe Boeing Company is looking for a high performing Experienced Software Quality Engineer. This position will focus on providing Quality Engineering support to India Software engineering organization. This position provides a unique opportunity to work independently, yet closely with Engineering organization to ensure compliance to Software Quality objectives through various activities and initiatives. The position requires the candidate to be self-motivated, open-minded, able to work under general supervision.\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\nDeveloping and maintaining SQE plans and process infrastructure compliant to AS9100D/AS9115 and DO-178C.\nPerform cost estimation for SQE tasks and supports proposals and formal reviews.\nEstablish and maintain metrics related to software quality assurance activities.\nEngage in team meetings, review software life-cycle products, and assure the engineering development and test process produces good quality software products that comply with their requirements.\nPrepare and present information at formal review meetings.\nPlan, schedule and perform process evaluations (audits) that will verify compliance with Engineering plans and methods.\nEnsure adequate correction of process non-compliances and initiate and facilitate formal root cause / corrective action / preventive action when warranted.\nImprove products and processes and manage risks\nReview and approve corrective and preventive action plans. Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n\nBachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nExperience supporting Software development that is regulated by FAA standards including DO-178, and ensuring the records produced during the software life cycle are adequate and controlled such that they will successfully support formal flight Certification.\nExperience in supporting Software development using the Agile framework\nExperience evaluating software requirements against quality attributes and verifying the management/tracing of those requirements through product realization.\nExperience verifying code and related software documentation comply to standards\nExperience in verifying the integrity of software test environments including the documentation of the test configuration, control over changes to the environment, and the control over records.\nExperience with establishing and managing metrics related to SQE activities\nKnowledge of the Software Configuration Management process including software identification, baseline management, change control, and status accounting\nEnsure the Project adherence to AS9100 and Quality Management System (QMS).\nKnowledge on Technical Standard Order (TSO) authorization and Type Certificate (TC) authorization Processes.\nKnowledge on AS9100 and Quality Management System (QMS).\nTypical Education & Experience: \n\nTechnical bachelor's degree and typically 8+ years related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7+ Year's.
