These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.\nThe F-22 organization designs, develops, tests, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF).\nThese positions will require you to work as a member of an agile team to modernize and maintain the Operational Flight Program (OFP) of this aircraft and its associated test software all in support of the advanced capabilities of the F-22 Raptor. Software Engineers in this role will have the rewarding task of developing new functionality and improving existing functionality in order to provide decisive benefit to our Air Force war-fighting customer.\nOur teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced, and Senior Level Software Developer Engineers.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nSupports the design, development, test, and maintenance of embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards\n\nAssists with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products\n\nSupports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations\n\nSupports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products\n\nSupports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products\n\nParticipates in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysis\n\nSupports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development\n\nSupports development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks\n\nSupports execution and documentation of software research and development project\n\nAssists with performing software project management activities and software supplier management functions\n\nSupports tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science\n\nActive U.S. SecretClearance\n\n2 plus years’ experience with programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Python\n\nExperience working in a project where various software development methodologies are being utilized\n\nAbility to obtain F-22 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\nLevel 2 (Associate): 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nLevel 3 (Experienced): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nLevel 4 (Senior): 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nABET is the preferred, accreditation standard\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels\n\nExperience developing embedded real-time software\n\nExperience developing models and simulation\n\nExperience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)\n\nExperience with Agile software development\n\nDrug Free Workplace:\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\nShift:\nThis position is primarily for 1st shift; however, alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives.\nTravel:\nOccasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.\nCodeVue Coding Challenge:\nTo be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
