Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is based in Ottawa and supports the CH-147F Chinook fleet of the Royal Canadian Air Force.\nThe Financial Analyst develops resource forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions, pools, contracts, and programs. The role compiles and analyzes data from multiple sources, prepares performance reports, conducts variance analysis, and explains operational and financial results to management. The analyst also provides recommendations and financial projections to support program decision-making.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nCollects, organizes, synthesizes, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.\nUse various budgeting tools (e.g., cost benefit analysis, estimates-at-completion [EAC], management estimate-at-completion [MEAC]) and estimating techniques (e.g., improvement curve theory, parametric estimates, standard hour estimates, zero-base estimates).\nReview, compare, and analyze cost performance against the baseline program plan (e.g., baseline, Estimate at Completion [EAC]).\nDefine and communicate cost trends and project cost performance for program management attention and action.\nDefines the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team.\nControl and deliver project deliverables, project accounting and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved.\nObtains information and identifies key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision; commits to a course of action to accomplish a long-range goal or vision after developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints, and organizational values.\nDevelops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends.\nDevelops business cases using appropriate indices.\nThis position is primarily on-site at our Ottawa office; however, Boeing values flexibility and the hiring manager may consider enabling telework or virtual work arrangements on a case-by-case basis. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.\nEmployer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting.\n3+ Years of experience analyzing cost and/or schedule performance, including earned value, variance analysis, and performance trends.\n3+ Years of Experience using financial data to develop business cases, recommendations, or management reports.\nMust be legally able to work in Canada.\nMust be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.\nMust consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.\nIndividual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.\nMust be eligible for Secret Level II clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):\nPost-secondary education.\nExperience with budgeting tools (e.g., cost benefit analysis, estimates-at-completion [EAC]).\nActive Secret Clearance.\nConflict of Interest:\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\nAdditional Information:\nThis requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. This is not an expatriate assignment.\nStarting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is CAD $88,200.00 - CAD $107,000.00 annually.\nThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government.
